This course is aimed at individuals that are responsible for undertaking assessments of need. It outlines the responsibilities of the Care Act, clarifying ‘proportionate and appropriate’ assessments. It considers the wellbeing domains and uses case studies to identify how eligibility can be applied. It defines strength-based assessments and their role in preventing and delaying care and support needs. The course explores ways to record measurable outcomes, ensuring that this is centred around and directed by the person.

Please note that there are two modules to this course which compliment each other. This is the second module and the first module is called Care Act, Wellbeing Principle and Eligibility and takes place on the 20th October 2020. You will need to book on separately for the first course and the code is ASC 20/161.
