Event description
This course covers the legal framework for self-neglect and how this relates to own role. The indicators, symptom and long-term effects of self-neglect are discussed. Case studies are used to explore the challenges of working with people that self-neglect including people that are hard to engage. Case studies are also used to identify thresholds for action around safeguarding.

This course is for Department of Adult Social Care and Public Health (DASCPH), local authority staff only.
